Over the years reading Mr. Johnstone's books, I never quite took this sort of story as seriously as I did his westerns. Everything is absolute in them, the Liberals are self-interested morons who don't see what's happening in front of them and the conservatives are completely good with the best for the country in mind. It doesn't work that way in real life. In my sixty-two years, a registered Republican for all my adult life, I've found that neither side is as ridiculous as they are made to seem or as good as they believe they are. There are self-servers everywhere.I do agree that political correctness is carried to an absurd degree in the real world today.There's a good story here and I enjoyed as the satire I believe it was meant to be.
The book starts with a wrinkle, the street the brothers rode down when they town was a mirror. The stores and saloons on the left side of the street were exactly the same as the ones on the right side of the street. The book goes on from there.
Such an excellent story. Again, hard to put down. I could not wait for the story to unfold. This book also shows the difference between Muslims as a peaceful religion, and Muslims in the extreme nature whereas they believe it is their job and their existence to turn the whole world to their faith,or die. Sometimes I believe Mr Johnstone could see the future when he wrote his books. An excellent story teller, he has opened my mind as I read his books.
William Johnstone never seemed to be worried about being PC, he told stories and damn good ones. This is a story that starts out a little slow but picks up and before you know it, you're hooked. Good story line, well developed characters, and an exciting finish. Great read, worth the time and money.
Another great story with Matt and Sam. Your right there with them every step of the way. You feel their emotions as they work hard to stop the outlaws.
A very enjoyable read. I'll read every book Johnstone writes! They're all first class!. I can't wait for the next great story.
As usual William W. Johnstone is one of the best writers i have read since Louis Lamour
