I love Rick Steves! Not only do I love his Europe Collection..but .Rick comes across as a very likable and knowledgeable guy. I have been a fan of his for years. Maybe one day I can afford to travel to the many countries he has covered.....but in the meantime,I wholeheartedly recommend this collection. The extras are great as well. For a short and beautiful history and travel course....you can't beat Rick Steves'Europe Collection It takes you to distant lands and with Rick's easy narrative..you forget that you aren't there with him! Get it!
If you can't afford to go to Europe, you can still see and learn a lot with this modernization of the classic travelogue.
This is a collection That all Rick Steves Fans should add to their permanent collection of travel destinations in Europe. He in my opinion is one of the best when it comes to European travel. This DVD collection is timeless and is a good guide to people who want to travel to countries in Europe.
This small sized book is a companion to the 2016 public television broadcast of the same name; it follows the segment exactly, but also stands alone as a rich source of European history, culture and tradition. The many photographs explain and enhance the text. I can verify from my own experiences that what is presented is factual. This book would make a lovely gift for anyone who enjoys European traditions, especially during Spring time.
We had this collection from a PBS donation but a couple of the disks got damaged so this was a replacement purchase. His videos are great to watch as entertainment or to help you get an idea of where to travel.
Love the Rick Steve's collection; planning a trip to Europe this fall and believe it will be very useful. Also nice for other countries within Europe that I may not get the chance to travel to - can now travel from my living room TV!
It's impossible to visit all these places in one lifetime, but watching these videos is second best. You feel like you were there without leaving home. And if you can go, you really know what to look for.
Love the quality of the video and listening to Rick's love of travel that comes through so clearly in the show.
